OPEN POSITIONS

Financial Services Consultant

Utilities Employees Credit Union (UECU) is seeking a full time Financial Services Consultant with experience in a Financial Services Sales role.

Responsibilities include:

  • Making contact with members, and prospective members, by way of phone calls for the purpose of growing loans, deposits and expanding member relationships.
  • Conduct targeted calling plans, in conjunction with the Sales and Marketing Departments.
  • Acquiring and maintaining a thorough knowledge of the features and benefits of all Credit Union products and services.
  • Exploring with new and existing members what products and services offered will benefit the members. 

We are seeking candidates with a minimum of two to three years of experience at a financial institution, specifically in a Financial Services Sales role.

A successful candidate will exhibit the following skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and sales skills.
  • Comfortable handling a high volume of calls.   
  • Working knowledge of Credit Union policies and procedures
  • Ability to read and understand Credit Bureau Reports.

IT Systems Administrator

Utilities Employees Credit Union (UECU) is seeking an IT Systems Administrator who will be responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. This individual will participate in technical research and implementation to enable continuity between the IT Department and the organization as a whole. This individual will ensure that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff, vendors, and members.

Candidates must possess the following skills:

  1. Work as a project leader or individual contributor with appropriate interpersonal relations and communication skills.
  2. Thorough knowledge of IT infrastructure operations including data networks, telecommunications, servers/systems, SAN/NAS storage, backup architectures, end-point services, enterprise systems software, business recovery methodologies, cyber-security best practices and experience with cloud services architectures.
  3. Proficiency with analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  4. Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
  5. Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements. Including, but not limited to: New PC setup/implementation, Active Directory maintenance/configuration, Windows Servers and PCs, DHCP, DNS, VMware, and backup solutions.
  6. Has primary responsibility for maintaining appropriate network and system documentation, including IT Downtime Log and Event Logs. Assists in maintaining licensing for all software applications. Keeps the Information Technology and Operations Manager informed on the status of all projects with regular updates

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Information Technology or Technical School graduate; or related experience.
  • Minimum of five years demonstrable experience in the design, implementation and support of infrastructure systems, applications and related technologies.
  • Current, relative industry certifications and continuing education

Asset Recovery Representative

Utilities Employees Credit Union (UECU) is seeking an Asset Recovery Representative who will handle the daily administrative tasks to assure efficient collection of delinquent accounts.  This position requires excellent communication and organizational skills.

We are seeking candidates who can:

  • Prepare incoming checks to be credited towards delinquent loan balances, including trustee checks due to bankruptcy.
  • Assist with the claims process (Loan Payment Protection) from start to finish for all members in order to achieve an orderly transition of payments from current mode to Loan Payment Protection insurance and back, when required.
  • Contact delinquent borrowers via all means of communication to collect on loans and credit cards according to internal standardized procedures.
  • Process payment reversals (ACH, Check, or Transfer) and edit loan as appropriate and contact member if alternate payment arrangements are needed.
  • Assist in the recovery process by continuing to work with members once accounts are charged off in establishing payment arrangements.
  • Display a professional manner at all times while communicating with members about their account and maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • Maintain paperwork for all delinquent loan files in an orderly and concise manner.
  • Assist with the bankruptcy process to ensure that the credit union’s risk is minimized in all bankruptcy proceedings to include:
    • Contacting bankruptcy attorney and bankruptcy court
    • Completing proof of claims and reaffirmation agreements
    • Preparing disbursements of trustee checks and documenting the system to properly communicate the date, type and current status of each bankruptcy.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School Graduate
  • Advanced training in credit and collections is a plus
  • Minimum of one year in a loan collection department in a financial institution is preferred

Member Services Representative

Utilities Employees Credit Union (UECU) is seeking a full-time Member Services Representative to assist our members.  These dedicated individuals work in our fast-paced call center and lobby assisting our members with all of their financial needs and questions.  Duties vary from transferring funds or issuing withdrawal checks to helping a member determine if a new product or service is beneficial for them.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist members over the phone with account changes and updates.
  • Provide members with accurate product and service information and assist them in the completion of required paperwork.
  • Balance transactions daily, handling cash and checks received in accordance with policy and procedure.
  • Maintain an awareness of products and new service opportunities with members.  Proactively participate in the cross selling of credit union products and services and actively refer to Sales Department.

We are seeking candidates with a minimum of 6 months’ customer service experience. Experience in a financial institution is strongly preferred.

A successful candidate will exhibit the following skills:

  • Familiarity with credit union or financial institution products and operations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in person and over the phone.
  • Excellent listening skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience working in customer accounts within financial institution software.
