OPEN POSITIONS

IT Support Specialist

Utilities Employees Credit Union (UECU) is seeking a full-time IT Support Specialist to provide technical assistance to credit union staff on computer hardware and software issues.  This dedicated individual is also responsible for daily core operations.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with staff to resolve problems relating to IT operations
  • Act as first responder to helpdesk requests by taking action or referring to another team member.
  • Assist with maintaining server and workstation backups, log media and periodically verify the backup by restoring files.
  • Assist with maintaining the company downtime and asset inventory logs.
  • Complete and schedule software jobs and nightly processes on the core credit union membership software package and OpCon.
  • Develop a working knowledge of the core and document retention systems. Perform testing, troubleshooting and research on these systems.

 

We are seeking candidates with a minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar or related position. Candidates should be a college or technical school graduate with emphasis on IT or computer science. Consideration will be given to equivalent work experience. A successful candidate will exhibit the following skills:

 

  • A thorough knowledge of PC operation and configuration.
  • A working knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies and MS-Office software.
  • Detail oriented, organized, resourceful, flexible, and able to manage multiple tasks with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Proficient reading, writing, grammar and mathematics skills.       
  • Proficient interpersonal relations and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Proficient analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.

Financial Services Consultant

 

Utilities Employees Credit Union (UECU) is seeking a full time Financial Services Consultant with experience in a Financial Services Sales role.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Making contact with members, and prospective members, by way of phone calls for the purpose of growing loans, deposits and expanding member relationships.
  • Conduct targeted calling plans, in conjunction with the Sales and Marketing Departments.
  • Acquiring and maintaining a thorough knowledge of the features and benefits of all Credit Union products and services.
  • Exploring with new and existing members what products and services offered will benefit the members. 

 

We are seeking candidates with a minimum of two to three years of experience at a financial institution, specifically in a Financial Services Sales role.

 

A successful candidate will exhibit the following skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and sales skills.
  • Comfortable handling a high volume of calls.  
  • Working knowledge of Credit Union policies and procedures
  • Ability to read and understand Credit Bureau Reports.

Member Services Representative

 

Utilities Employees Credit Union (UECU) is seeking a full-time Member Services Representative to assist our members.  These dedicated individuals work in our fast-paced call center and lobby assisting our members with all of their financial needs and questions.  Duties vary from transferring funds or issuing withdrawal checks to helping a member determine if a new product or service is beneficial for them. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist members over the phone with account changes and updates.
  • Provide members with accurate product and service information and assist them in the completion of required paperwork.
  • Balance transactions daily, handling cash and checks received in accordance with policy and procedure.
  • Maintain an awareness of products and new service opportunities with members.  Proactively participate in the cross selling of credit union products and services and actively refer to Sales Department.
     

We are seeking candidates with a minimum of 6 months’ customer service experience. Experience in a financial institution is strongly preferred.

 

A successful candidate will exhibit the following skills:

  • Familiarity with credit union or financial institution products and operations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in person and over the phone.
  • Excellent listening skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience working in customer accounts within financial institution software.
